Dear all,

I am always in the prayer or abundance boards, but now it's the time to share my story with you...

I am from the Dominican Republic, an island from the Caribbean where we share territory with Haiti, it's a beautiful place with caring people and good vibes... I am the youngest of my family and when I was a kid I wanna to be a ballerina, well I joined ballet cla*ses at the age of 14th, too late and with a body that is not the "right" body to be a cla*sical dancer, but I did and I got in love with this wonderful world of movement, music, creativity... ballet helped me to get the structure needed it to be who I am, it gave me strength and discipline... while dancing my first teacher (God always bless her and her family) asked me if I wanna be her a*sistance in creative movement cla*ses... from that day when I was 15 years old till today that I am 31... I know I could teach and give what I had learned... time was running by, I went to College and did some Advertising as career just in case I broke up my leg so I can continue living, and I became a teacher, in that time I also joined the better school in Santo Domingo, and guess what happenned? I became part of their corps de ballet!!!!! there was a time of joy and suffering... because I wanna dance, and dance but my body was not the perfect body to ballet... but I enjoyed my time as a dancer and always respected the directors thinking... but there was a time where my body was very relax, I started being a vegetarian since 13 and at 18 I started to meditate... and my body was changing, I was more relax and I was allowing myself to do things, I had a great teacher and coworker who helped me with my body, working with my limits, and getting my lines better... till the day that I said to myself that I wanna something else... that I wanna have movement in my life in another way, without judgements so I quit dancing and start looking for new things to learn... doing a web searching I saw a great school in Uruguay and asked information about Bernard Aucouturier's psychomotricity, a holistic way of looking at children while playing, respecting their emotions and needs and always respecting what that body was telling while moving and playing... the sky was open to me... I was making little money at that time... but I went to a congress there, meet wonderful people there... and then when back to the DR I started studying Psychology, the next year I received an invitation to give a workshop about creative movement in Paris!!!!!!! it was an exchange because I was taking a course there... after that I continued reading, taking courses and guess who came to my country? Bernard Aucouturier!!!!! I also translated him while giving a conference... and then I decided to start studying dance movement therapy in Argentina... working in my country and suddenly making enough money to all the expenses of going there 3 times a year, etc... I had graduated of clinical Psychology and will end my course in Argentina next november... and I know movement will be always part of my life... my patients and their family are happy with my work... an my intention is to continue learning... to get a scholarship and continue this wonderful work of helping people... when dancing I am always feeling like a butterfly.... I know I have to fly... I know all the limits of living in a place like this but I am doing what I want and the Universe is helping me to do it... I am happy for that... I am grateful for beliving in my dreams... I am happy for living my dreams...

As I always say... if I don't dream I will fall asleep...

Love to you!

Namaste,

Pat.

Gracias

Demetrix
